Alex's Childminding service

Newsletter No. 18

Happy New Year! We hope that you all had a good Christmas and Santa brought you everything you wanted. Alex didn’t get his Ferrari or Lamborghini but he did get a stormtrooper mug, so it’s a win, win. We hope the preschooler parents liked the decorations they had made. We figured the older children had done enough at school...

Newsletter No.12 – Christmas Edition

We hope everyone had a great Christmas, Thank you for your generous presents, we could hear the collective groans when your children discovered we had given them books.

Newsletter No.11 – Halloween Edition (Ooooo!)

Well we have all survived the first half of the new school term. We have three more new starters, T, S and G. They have all settled in well, thanks to the old guard for their usual welcoming nature.

Newsletter No.10 – Summer Edition

We welcome S and L in to the setting, both boys have proved to be popular with the older children, who I am sure have helped them to settle in so easily with their welcoming attitude.

Newsletter No.9 – May Bank Holiday Edition

Oops! I’m not very good at getting these letters out on time, am I! The first news is that Jo is finally going to join us in two weeks, yay! This may be unwelcome news for the children though as it means that we will soon be doing the school run on foot! I can hear the screams of protest already, and that’s just from my own daughters.

Newsletter No.8 – Easter Edition

Another late letter, I hear you cry!

Newsletter No.7 – BIG NEWS Edition

The end of last week was rather tense for our family and is the reason that I have some BIG NEWS. Jo, my wife, has decided, after much discussion and head scratching, to accept voluntary redundancy from her place of work. But that’s not all; she has decided to work with me from July. Watch this space..

Newsletter No.6 – Christmas Edition

Yay, it’s nearly Christmas. This means a break for me and lots of quality time with our families. Over the last half term we have been celebrating and learning about different customs and religions. Fireworks night went with a fizz as we lit indoor fireworks in the kitchen. Thanks giving was celebrated with a turkey dinner and a chat about why the Americans celebrate Thanksgiving while we were tucking into it. The children also coloured pictures of Pilgrims and Native Americans.

Newsletter No.5 – Autumn Edition

Hello all, I’m sure you all had a good summer break, I know the children did. What about the Olympics? I thought they were great, I was lucky enough to see the Paralympic equestrian and wheelchair basketball events. I think we’ve all been inspired by it all, I for one enjoyed watching the beach volleyball and even thought about joining the club at Crystal Palace but I couldn’t find a bikini that fitted!

Newsletter No.4 – Summer Edition (not addition)

You’re either all very polite or nobody noticed my deliberate mistake in my last newsletter. Thank you to all the parents that took the time to complete my survey, the results were positive and informative.
